URVANITY – MAHOU TALKS PROGRAM

This program of conferences, debates and presentations has been

conceived with the purpose of shedding light on contemporary creation of urban origin, allowing the visitor toget a feel for its different experiences and aesthetics.

Thanks to the ideas and methods of a handpicked selection of artists, curators and cultural managers, we aim to tell a story about the national and international scene. In this way, during two intense days, February 25th and 26th, we will have the opportunity to understand just how much has been drawn so far in the sphere of New Contemporary Art.

This program will take place in the Mahou Space, in which we will also have the opportunity to enjoy two ad-hoc artistic interventions, one by Marc C. Woehr and another by Zeta1970.

OFF PROGRAM

URVANITY WALLS PROJECT

Urvanity seeks to promote forms of artistic expression in the urban context. Therefore, in this first edition we found it necessary to create a project on the streets of Madrid. However, our initiative not only meant involving artists tocreate a dialogue with our surroundings but that their contribution, in turn, could offer other narratives to Madrid´s cultural landscape.

From February 20th to the 25nd, with the support of Tuenti, the collaboration of Montana Colors, Pintura Revetón and Landmefar, and the co-production of Urvanity Art and Madrid Street Art Project, Ben Eine, Jason Woodside, L'Atlas, PREF, MESA and Mohammed Lghacham have been invited to paint different murals that have become part of the city of Madrid´s artistic heritage.

We encourage you to make them yours in the following places:

  • BEN EINE. Calle Embajadores, en el parque Casino de la Reina.
  • JASON WOODSIDE. Ronda de Segovia, 71.
  • L'ATLAS. En el interior de Campo de la Cebada. Plaza de la Cebada, 16.
  • PREF. Calle Almendro, 3
  • MESA y MOHAMMED LGHACHAM. Calle de la Cebada, 1.
