"De la volatilidad en el gesto I” (Of the volatility in the gesture I). Series “Los límites del gesto” (The limits of gesture)

The gestuality of painting is explored in this work, giving a twist to the expressionist concept of the stain, since we are faced with a contained painting. The gesture is frozen and even emptied, leaving only the outline or the stippling of the stains that have been extracted. The composition explodes extending beyond the limits of the canvas, on both sides, by means of the so-called tangles. This work is also linked to the concept of meta-painting, reflecting on painting itself -its processes, its limitations, its conditioning factors- from within itself.
