Adela Angulo Portugal

Adela Angulo Portugal (Madrid, 1999) graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Castilla La Mancha, Cuenca. She approaches her practice through painting. Starting from plastic questions regarding the practice and its creation process, she investigates the limits of painting and the language that is generated around it. He tries to question and rethink the conception and historical burden of painting by seeking new perspectives on what is known.

He is interested in the dialogue between the subjects, the place they occupy, the role they play and their temporality. It is related to the way of being in the studio, of being in the world. The paintings are presented as bodies that observe and relate. Through sensitivity and affection she searches for the most tender truths of both painting and life.
