Amit Kanfi

Amit grew up in Tel Aviv, Amsterdam, and Istanbul and currently creates art in Tel Aviv. A self-taught artist, his creations span various mediums, including painting, graffiti, sculpture, animation, video, and installations. Kanfi is an artist living and working in Tel Aviv, Israel. His works have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Israel and around the world, encompassing painting, graffiti, sculpture, animation, video, and installations. He is an expressive artist known for his straightforward expression, fresh artistic style, and unique qualities that resonate with people from all walks of life. He has pioneered a new form of art, expressing complex thoughts through the symbolic imagery of his generation in simple language. His works are bold, childish, and satirical, conveying a sense of "wrongness" in society through the crude and dark sentences he writes. His technique is intuitive and rapid, sometimes directly using paint from tubes and other times using all limbs for painting. Through Kanfi's creations, one can glimpse his worldview, depiction, and imagination of reality, reflecting his criticism of contemporary identity politics. He opposes bourgeois notions, disregards academic formalism, and, with unwavering sincerity, breaks conventions.
