This duo lives and works in Leipzig (Germany), where they develop their work creating a radically post-pop-art aesthetic that draws from manga and the "8-bit" culture of the 80s. Interspersed with paintings, sculptures, prints, and neon using primary colours. Their pieces create, in an unusual way, subtle, critical and humorous commentaries on their own context and mass phenomena.
They have been working together for more than ten years under the name "Doppeldenk", a concept that speaks of doublethink. It comes from "1984" a dystopian novel by George Orwell that describes the power of having two contradictory beliefs in one mind simultaneously and accepting both of them.
