Ecem Dilan Köse
(Turkey, 1990)
Ecem Dilan Köse (b. 1990, Ankara, Turkey), who won the prestigious İşbank Artificial Intelligence Factory competition award together with renowned artist Refik Anadol in 2024, is a contemporary conceptual artist with deep-rooted roots in architectural discipline and generative art. She produces using digital tools in the context of the relationships between concept and method. Ecem created an artistic approach that encapsulates the interplay of similarities between organic textures and digital data.
As an artist who challenges the narrow boundaries of artistic classification, she has been expressing her creative energy in many fields, digital art installations, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, conventional sculptures and artworks, and audio-visual performances. She plays an active role in the NFT world by using blockchain technology for the protection and ownership of her artworks that maintain their production in Istanbul.
Her projects and exhibitions span England, Germany, Spain, the United States, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates among others. In 2024, she participated in the Canakkale Biennale with her video mapping on the façade of the Troy Museum at the entrance of the Troy Ancient City in Canakkale, Turkey.
