Fernando Barrios Benavides (Madrid, 1990) is an artist dedicated to painting, sculpture and drawing.
Trained in Design at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and in Plastic Arts and Design at the Escuela de Arte 12 de Madrid, his work has been shown in exhibitions at the Centro de Arte de Alcobendas, the Centro Cultural José Saramago, kikekeller, Mad is Mad, and on a regular basis, in Zapadores Ciudad del Arte.
His work focuses on psychological portraiture, introspection, play and experimentation with materials.
Fernando Barrios Benavides’ work speaks of non-participation, of simple and true messages, of walls and rubble, of those who inhabited them, of extraordinary events of everyday life and the emotions that transform us day by day.
