Flora Castiglia

Flora Castiglia was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1991. Her mother, herself a visual artist, introduced Flora to various artistic practices in the family studio from an early age. This transmission and sharing enabled the artist to assert her creativity and develop an ethic as well as a plastic discipline.
Flora's first drawings were for musicians who asked her to design their record sleeves. These early works have undoubtedly shaped the artist's contemporary work, giving it a reading that might be described as “melodic”. His creations are imbued with references to musical notes, both in form and composition. The musical dimension present in his canvases, combined with a palette of deep, muted colors, makes the artist's style instantly recognizable, inviting us into a geometric, organic and dreamlike universe.
