Illán Argüello
(1968, Madrid)
Argüello is one of the painters of the new figuration of the nineties. Self-taught, his work
appeals to our interest, tells us things, proposes references, meanings and interpretations. The geometric elements and implausible artefacts of his iconography make up a totality where sensations slide in warm planes of colour that transport us to an imaginary world. Through the colour of his paintings we are all invited to transcend buildings and landscapes, enjoying them.
He has participated in national and international fairs and his work is present in collections such as: Museo Municipal de Arte Contemporáneo de Madrid, Fundación Wellington or Fundación Alberto Jiménez-Arellano Alonso, Valladolid among others.
