The artistic practice of Juan Cuéllar (Valencia, 1967), heir of Valencian pop, investigates the contemporary landscape with a humorous look. In his paintings he presents the city and the individuals who inhabit it, always immersed in a silence that becomes strange, with an iconography that, at times, reminds us of Edward Hopper. He has exhibited in Germany, China, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland and Romania, among other countries. His artworks are present in important collections and institutions, including the Spanish Academy in Rome, the ARTIUM, the DKV Collection, the Coca-Cola Foundation, the IVAM and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Madrid.
