Lara Ruiz
(Luxemburgo, 1986)
Lara Ruiz (Luxembourg, 1986) has a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Salamanca and a Master's degree in Artistic Production from the Polytechnic University of Valencia in the specialty of art and technology.
Throughout her professional career, she has been awarded a scholarship by the Consejería Cultural de España en Cuba (2022), by the Art Promotion of the Ministerio de Cultura y Deporte (2019) and by the Consejería de Cultura de la Junta de Extremadura (2020, 2010). ). Likewise, she has received aids from the Diputación de Málaga (2010) within the Genalguacil Art Meetings and she has participated in the V Meetings of artistic-cultural cooperation between Spain and Serbia of the Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional del Ministerio de Cultura de España(2009).
Her work has been exhibited and promoted at Artesantander (2024), Art Code Space in Miami (2021), at the Domus Artium DA2 Contemporary Art Center in Salamanca (2020), at Tabacalera Art Promotion in Madrid by the Ministerio de Cultura de España (2019) and at La Rectoria Foundation of Barcelona (2013). In 2015 she participated in Taiwan Art Fair. In 2022 she has been sellected to the Bienal de La Habana (Cuba).
She has recently been awarded in the Certamen de Artes Plásticas ‘El Brocense’; she is part of the project “The other city. Tours of a dissident graphic” organized by the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (Mexico) and she was one of the selected artists for the Riverside project in the Fernanda Fragateiro workshop organized by the Galería Vilaseco (A Coruña) and has carried out an artistic residency in Chiquita Room.
