Lluís Vidal
(Barcelona, 1970)
A sculptor far removed from the avant-garde movement, he treats the body allegorically, as a "map" of our souls. Since 1996 his artistic career has been marked by a reflection on our ambiguous and contradictory condition. The presence of newborns in his work represents the traumatic impact of reality on human beings. Purity and innocence of the child within a corporeal receptacle of adult actions and expressions to denounce the infinite complexity of our existence.
