Martin Lukáč

Born in 1989 in Slovakia. He currently lives and works in Prague.

Lukáč's work embodies a relaxed and intuitive creative process. His paintings echo the influence of Abstract Expressionist masters while embracing the freedom of graffiti artists and elements of pop culture. For him, painting is a way of being. His works come to life like surreal characters from a comic book world. Amorphous shapes, rendered in bold, vibrant colors, emerge from a background of fluid, dynamic lines. He often works in series, continuously reinterpreting the same motif and systematically varying it on his canvases until it is fully explored.
