Matteo Pacella
(Italy, 1991)
Graduated from London Metropolitan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Furniture and Product Design (2016) and a diploma in Furniture Making (2014), Pacella’s work sits at the intersection of design and contemporary art. He has received awards such as the KPMG Award for Art and Design Innovation (2019) and the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers Award (2017).
With a degree in Furniture and Product Design (BA Hons, 2016) from London Metropolitan University, he complemented his education with a diploma in Furniture Making (2014) and studies at the Royal Drawing School in London, solidifying a multidisciplinary practice.
Throughout his career, Pacella has exhibited his work internationally in venues such as Urvanity Art Fair in Madrid, Pabellón Pelícano, Espacio Derivado in Seville, and The Aram Gallery in London. His pieces have also been featured in prestigious events like Milan Design Week, London Design Festival, and the Shanghai Art Fair.
Pacella has earned notable awards, including the KPMG Award for Art and Design Innovation (2019), the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers Award (2017), and the Frederick Parker Chair Award (2017), reflecting his ability to redefine the boundaries between functionality and artistic expression. In 2023, he participated in the We Collect art residency in Madrid.
