Miguel Scheroff
(Spain, 1988)
Miguel Scheroff (1988) graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Granada and holds a Master's degree in Art, Idea, and Production from the University of Seville. Through the language of painting, Scheroff offers a reflection on the conflicts and concerns of this generation (Millennial/Centennial) immersed in disenchantment and emotional instability.
Through large-format paintings, we encounter a dense universe of restless scenes where classical imagery interacts with the current iconography of pop culture, cartoons, contemporary music, or anything related to the post-Internet era.
In his work, he explores the anxieties, thoughts, and ways of understanding the world of the latest generations. Incorporating elements of himself, the paintings are an aggregated imagination of pop culture references. Pop culture awakened the creator within Scheroff, who attributes his inspiration to video games and anime aesthetics.
