Óscar Seco
(Spain, 1964)
Òscar Seco (Madrid, 1964) has a degree in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid, the city where he lives and works; He has been presenting individual exhibitions since 1990 in spaces such as Galería Seiquer, Berini, 57, Ferrán Cano, Angeles Baños, Trinta, T-20, Valle Ortí, Matthias Hauser, Renace, Las cigarreras de Alicante, or the Da2 Museum in Salamanca.
He has participated in numerous collectives and been present at fairs such as Arco, Estampa, Just Mad, Art Cologne, Art Berlin, Arteba, Art Chicago, or Scope Miami.
In his work we find specters, beings and scenarios close to fantastic literature, references to comics or science fiction films. His works transmit narratives marked by an evident hybrid character: allusions to his personal and historical memory are combined with events and places that could refer to possible imaginaries.
