Pau Aguiló

Pau Aguiló was born in Mallorca in August 2002, into a family with a deeply personal connection to art. He grew up on the outskirts of Algaida, a small village in the heart of the island. There, with limited contact with the outside world beyond a few illustrated books and historical-themed movies, Aguiló developed a passion for drawing that began as a form of play.

Nowadays, imagination, nature, and historical elements remain fundamental pillars of his work. His fascination with human societies and the construction of worlds gives his art a character that, at first glance, may seem like surrealism with deconstructivist and original overtones. However, his work harbors a critical and poetic observation of the human condition, explored through the lens of individuality and circumstance. The history of various periods, along with films of all kinds, illustrations by artist like Goya, comic books, classical and contemporary painting, and many other elements converge to inspire his work, reflecting today’s eclectic world through his brush.
