Paula Santomé
(Spain, 1994)
Paula Santomé is a contemporary visual artist recognized for her innovative approach to the plastic arts and her active participation in the international art scene. She holds a Master’s in Fine Arts from Institut Kunst, HGK FHNW in Basel, Switzerland, and a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from the University of Vigo. Her education has been enriched by academic exchanges in Brussels, Madrid, and other key European cities.
Throughout her career, she has been awarded prestigious prizes and grants, such as the Kunsthalle Basel Prize (2021) and the María José Jove Foundation Grant (2020). Her solo and group exhibitions include presentations in renowned spaces such as VITRINE Gallery, Kunst Raum Riehen, and Kunsthalle Basel, with upcoming projects in Berlin, Spain, and the United States further solidifying her international presence.
Santomé’s work is part of prominent collections, including the Baloise Art Collection and Kunstkredit Basel-Stadt. She has participated in artist residencies such as GGG Atelierhaus in Basel and the International Summer Academy of Salzburg.
