Paula Valdeón (1992), is a young artist from Extremadura whose delicate works connect touch, home and landscape, all key elements to harmonize textiles and drawings in order to offer containers of memory for the domestic space. The artist develops a singular aesthetic ideology in which houses and homes are spaces where time passes and she experiments with disciplines such as textiles, pictorial techniques or photography to create a series of plastic fabrics to offer her vision of home as a reflection on property and the ways in which we practice and domesticate it. Last year she presented an exhibition at the Niemeyer Center of Arts in Avilés thanks to the AlNorte Grant that the artist received in October 2019.
