Román De Castro
(Mexico, 1998)
Román de Castro is a multidisciplinary artist from Estado de México, whose work spans from painting, photography, ready made, installation, video art, and writing. His pieces have been exhibited in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Amsterdam, Madrid, and Medellín.
Through words—written on various objects and using diverse techniques—he seeks to ground universal emotions and thoughts, presenting a narrative centered on empathy and the human sensitivity that arises from the mere act of existing, as well as a profound introspection. The vulnerability and intimacy of his projects are conveyed through his sentences.
Currently, he is expanding his creative horizons, exploring new discursive tools to continue a constant practice of self-awareness and understanding of something as natural as allowing oneself to feel.
