Rosario Trillo
(1970, Madrid)
The work of Rosario Trillo (Madrid, 1970) is essentially visual. It reflects her personal imaginary with dreamlike components loaded with elements belonging to traditional and devotional imagery that coexist with iconic nods to current popular culture.
Both his past and present works are characterised by a parodic representation of emotions and traditions, consciously mixed with the iconographic heritage he has treasured over the years. In his paintings he offers a set of disturbing, strange, gloomy and disturbing images, showing a sinister reality with a tinge of criticism of all that is sacred.
