Silvana Pestana

Silvana Pestana is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice converges in extensive research on vulnerable territories, mythical literature and oral tradition of Peru. Drawing parallels between the subjugation of the territory and the human being, Pestana’s work points to power relations, to the most irresistible drives, where civilization fails and man is as wild as the jungle itself.

Pestana’s work has been exhibited in Lima, Paris, London, Torino and Madrid.
