Tra Bouscaren is a post-disciplinary artist focused on American performance at the crossroads of waste culture and the surveillance state.
His work has been exhibited at the Museum für Naturkunde in Berlin, the National Museum of Art in Addis Ababa, Czong Institute for Contemporary Art in Seoul, the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona, The Wrong Biennale, Fort Mason Center for the Arts in San Francisco, Greenleaf Gallery in Los Angeles, San Diego Art Institute, Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia, the Mattress Factory and Lincoln Center in New York.
Bouscaren carries out projects with a wide range of visual artists, performers, hackers, musicians, and academics. Recent collaborators include new media activist Grayson Earle, artist John Schlesinger, Negativland, Jeremy Morgan, Steve Hise, biologist Ross Buchan, Flam Chen Circus, dance company Raiz de Polon, and Collective Action Studio.
