Viktor Rosdahl
(Sweden, 1980)
Currently he lives and works in Malmö.
Rosdahl reflects on the interaction between landscapes and the human condition, exploring how life and reality can be observed through utopian and alien lenses. His work invites us to reconsider the norms, agendas, and ways of life in society. Is another world possible? How can one live authentically within a value system they wish were different? As a dissident, in silent opposition, or immersed in dreams—can this be anything more than escapism?
Rosdahl's artistic practice is influenced by a wide range of references, including the complex and politically ambiguous works of Anselm Kiefer and Gerhard Richter.
