To celebrate its fourth edition, Urvanity partnered with Canadian artist Ryan Heshka and the urban clothing brand Tiwel to create its first limited capsule collection sold inside the fair. This collection gathers together those fantastic characters inspired by pop surrealism with a touch of humor and a visual language inspired by antiquated comics, pulp magazines, classic cinema, science fiction… so characteristic of Heshka’s own imaginary.
The woman figure, always key and powerful on his designs, will also be represented through ‘Frog Wife’, the main character of his latest book published less than a year ago. Other characters from the most disturbing dreams like ‘Meatball’ will also be in this collection consisting of two t-shirts editions, a sweatshirt and a short-sleeved shirt. The images chosen for this collection made under Urvanity’s curatorship represent a crossroads between Heshka’s inside world and Tiwel’s urban and casual attitude.
