Al-Tiba9 Gallery

Since its founding in 2013 in Algeria, Al-Tiba9 Contemporary has aimed to capture, in a particular way, the social reality by creating a bridge between the West and the Arab world through contemporary art. Al-Tiba9 Gallery, inaugurated in October 2023 in Barcelona, Spain, represents and exhibits renowned and established artists from different backgrounds. It also introduces emerging artists to the international scene, focusing primarily on contemporary art that reflects modern society and its environment, encouraging innovation and diversity of media, potentially engaging the current art scene. The gallery space is 300 m² in El Born, Barcelona's old town, close to several renowned museums such as the European Museum of Modern Art, the Picasso Museum, the Moco Museum and the Chocolate Museum. Founded by Mohamed Benhadj, an independent curator with a decade of experience working with established artists, museums and collectors, the gallery runs several programs to promote international artists and invites art professionals through exhibitions, talks, publications, online events and more.
