Espacio Líquido + La Gran
(Gijón and Madrid, Spain)
La Gran is a contemporary art gallery located in Carabanchel, Madrid, since autumn 2019, although it began its activity in March 2015 in Valladolid. It currently represents and supports the work and trajectory of fifteen artists (ten of them women) interested in the interaction of aesthetic phenomena with their social or political contexts: Marina Núñez, Enrique Marty, Laura Salguero, Luis Pérez Calvo, Elisa Terroba, Ana Teresa Barboza, Cristina Ramírez, Valentina Vacó and Javier Rodríguez Pino.
Espacio Líquido, which during its trajectory has represented and supported the careers of emerging and mid-career artists, focuses its promotional work on the edition of catalogs, participation in international fairs, elaboration of curated exhibitions, incorporation of its artists in public and private collections or the exchange with other galleries. Creating a platform not linked to a specific space, Espacio Líquido seeks to bring contemporary art closer to all audiences, for which it promotes activities such as guided tours of the exhibitions, talks organized in institutions on new ways of collecting, gallery development, etc...
