"Stripes". Series “Los límites del gesto" (The limits of the gesture) and the subseries "Lautrec y yo” (Lautrec and I)

Each element of the work is markedly contoured, painted in a delicate and patterned manner, representing a great interest in exploring the containment of gesture both conceptually and plastically. The yellow chromatic field of the central part is punctuated by small blue strokes on which a new stain-element is superimposed. The white stripes that partially cover the composition are traces taken from a painting by the great Toulouse-Lautrec.
